The purposes of our Association are as follows:
To protect the public by ensuring the highest standards of competency and ethics of acupuncturists in the Commonwealth Kentucky.
To educate legislators, regulators, and the general public regarding the nature and scope of acupuncture and Oriental medicine, and the benefit of using NCCAOM board certified practitioners.
To serve Kentucky acupuncturists as their official representative and spokesmen for current and future legislation.
To support lobbying efforts which uphold the integrity of our profession and protect the public.
To foster and maintain a professional, informative, andfriendly rapport with physicians and other health care providers in the best interest of delivering effective health care.
To uphold the esteemed traditions of acupuncture and Oriental medicine and protect in every way the philosophy, science, and art of our profession.
To enhance the skills and knowledge of acupuncturists by sponsoring continuing education programs with high standards of professional competence.
To promote public availability of acupuncture and Oriental medicine through its use in integrative and Western medical settings.
To strive to support research projects that focus on national as well as global health concerns.
